I'm admiring a lot of people on my watch list who are digital artists... I'm intrigued and would love to try something myself (but I don't think I'd do any good!). What sort of tablet would be good to start out with? Are they majorly expensive? I've seen a few on Ebay but i have no idea where to start.

Sigh. Yet another New Years Eve sitting here by myself. Anyone else as big a loser as me? Nah, I doubt it... Dinners, parties, gatherings or, at the very least, spending time with their significant others. I suppose I could draw, but what good is that? They sit in my folder forever. My 1st 2 commissions for Christmas my payment seems to be overlooked. God I hope no one reads this. My intentions were NOT bring anyone else down to my level. I really hope everyone has a good night! Here's hoping 2008 will be my year.

Anyone else have problems with fingerprints on their graphite work? It's driving me nuts! Should I wear gloves to stop the smudges? I think it's the acid on the fingertips that sticks to the paper and grabs the graphite, making it impossible to smooth and even out. Especially when it comes to soft backgrounds and skin surfaces. GRR!
